Nani A Good Bet To Score Against Norwich

The draw at Stoke last week saw the end of Man Utd’s perfect start to the Premiership season but the good news is that United are still top of the table by virtue of goal difference and are still the hot favourites to win the league title, the bookies are now offering 10/11 on Man Utd retaining the Premiership whilst City are still as big as 12/5 and Chelsea are available at 5/1. The next opponents for United are newly promoted Norwich. This is a game where Man Utd will be expected to win comfortably, by pricing United up at 1/6 to win the game at the time of writing the bookies clearly feel United will be beating Norwich by a good few goals. If backing United at 1/6 isn’t your cup of tea there are other bets on United’s superiority in the game, Man Utd can be backed at 4/1 to win the game by exactly one goal, 3/1 to win by exactly two goals, 6/5 to win by three goals or more and 5/2 to win by four or more goals. The best looking bet from that list looks to be three or more goals at 6/5 considering United beat Spurs by 3 goals, Bolton by 5 goals and Arsenal by 6 goals.
Norwich have so far done pretty well for a newly promoted team, they have even pushed Chelsea fairly close at Stamford Bridge but getting beaten at home to teams like West Brom would suggest that United should be winning quite easily. The bookies agree with odds of 20/1 available on the away win and the draw as big as 15/2.
The outstanding bet of the game could be Nani to score at anytime. Nani has scored a great goal in United’s last two league matches and in games where a home side should score a good few goals there anytime scorers can make plenty of appeal. Rooney and Hernandez are the favourites at 4/7 and 4/6 respectively but both could struggle with injuries meaning the goals could come from elsewhere (note that if you back either and they don’t play you will get your stake back). The 13/8 with one bookie on Nani scoring in the match looks far too big and could be long gone by kick off. If you fancy another smaller bet in this market there are worse bets than Anderson at 11/2.
